C.A.T.S. Leadership Information
  • Would you like to help some of our rising freshmen and transfer students navigate the transition into high school? If so, apply to be a Coordinated Assistance for Transitioning Students (C.A.T.S.) Ambassador!

    Benefits of being involved:
    - Great way to show leadership in your school
    - Great activity to include on your resume
    - Community Service Hours
    - Freshmen students are always worried about upperclassmen and their perception of them. You can help bridge that gap.
    - Transferring to a new school in high school is hard. You can help make someone's day a little easier by showing them around and getting to know them.

    Expectations**:
    - Ambassadors will be expected to be present at Freshmen Orientation on the Friday morning before school starts.
    - Ambassadors will have a group of freshmen students that they check in with throughout the year.
    - Ambassadors will meet with other ambassadors once a month to plan activities for their freshmen mentees throughout the year.
    - It is expected that ambassadors will attend all meetings and be there for their assigned students.
    - For transfer students, ambassadors will provide tours around the school, eat lunch with them the first day or two that they are here, and meet with them once a month to check in.
**Many aspects of the program depend on the number of ambassadors we have for the year.
