Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Lauren Fauber

Dear Parents and Families,

Welcome to Fairfield Elementary School! It is an honor to introduce myself as the principal. My name is Lauren Fauber and I just finished my first year serving the students, staff, and families of the Fairfield community. While I am new to the Fairfield area, I am a lifelong resident of Rockbridge County. Being born and raised in such an involved and supportive community has inspired me to want to grow and serve the same community that has given so much to me.

A little bit of background about me, after completing high school, I went on to attend Roanoke College. There I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a certification in Elementary Education. I have also completed a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction: Reading from the University of Virginia and secured my Educational Leadership Endorsement from Radford University. I have enjoyed my time teaching across various grade levels including fourth grade, first grade, PALS, and I have served as a reading specialist/literacy coach/Title 1 teacher.

I have loved every minute of being at Fairfield because I strongly feel connected to the core beliefs and values that are so evident in our community and school. I believe in educating the whole child and I have found that strong partnerships among stakeholders, open lines of communication, and a commitment to excellence foster students' growth academically, socially, and emotionally. At Fairfield, we strive to build relationships with all of our students, provide an optimal learning environment, and provide high-quality, differentiated instruction to help our students reach their full potential. Our students come first always and it is our goal to provide a solid foundation for them to build upon. We sincerely hope that we not only spark the passion for lifelong learning, but set students up to be productive, contributing citizens in our community.

This year our school will have a nature theme with the slogan “Let’s Root for Each Other and Grow.” Here at Fairfield, we always strive to support our students to grow in every sense of the word. We want to provide them with such a safe and supportive environment that they feel confident and courageous enough to try new things, take risks, and find something that sparks their passion. While we encourage these things, we also want our students to believe in themselves and encourage each other!

I am so grateful and proud to be a part of the Fairfield community. I am honored to have the opportunity to work with such wonderful students, dedicated teachers, and such a supportive community. I am beyond excited to begin another year and I look forward to working closely with everyone to make this the most successful year yet!

Sincerely,

Lauren Fauber
