Rockbridge County High School students compete in Rockbridge History Bee
Rockbridge County High School students competed in the 2nd Annual Rockbridge History Bee hosted by the Rockbridge Historical Society. Local high school students answered quiz bowl style questions drawn from the history book entitled Remarkable Rockbridge: The Story of Rockbridge County, Virginia written by Charles A. Bodie. Eric Wilson, Executive Director of the Rockbridge Historical Society emceed the History Bee. It took 14 rounds of questions to determine the overall winner. The 2018 History Bee winners were: 1st Place: Jacob Trout, 2nd Place: Quinn Hoover, 3rd Place: Kaizad Irani and Honorable Mention: Yelena Billias. Rockbridge County Public Schools provides instruction to meet the needs of all students in schools that are fully accredited by the Virginia Department of Education. We provide all elementary students with balanced instruction in the core subject areas of math, English, science, and social studies, enhanced by opportunities for enrichment and exploration through music, the arts, physical education, and a variety of other areas.
